Rihanna locks in Makeup Deal with MAC

One week after Rihanna presented her first fashion show for River Island the pop princess has moved onto her next stylish venture: a makeup collection for MAC.

The collaboration — which the Rihanna called “a no-brainer” — will include multiple collections of color cosmetics due in stores this year, according to WWD. The first item to hit shelves: RiRi Woo, a lipstick inspired by the Grammy singer’s favorite MAC red, Ruby Woo, that will release in time with Rihanna’s Diamonds Tour concerts on May 4 and 5 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. MAC will open a pop-up shop on trihanna-grammy-waves-red-lipstick-h724he first night to showcase the line.

“When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind — for something legit — is MAC,” the singer told WWD. “Whatever color you want, it’s like ‘Let’s go to MAC.’ I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand.”

While MAC has worked with several entertainers in the past in partnerships including their annual Viva Glam campaign, this is the first time that the brand has done a celebrity collaboration on more than just a one-off  product. The deal also marks Rihanna’s first makeup line.

Style ? Answered: Purse Sized Makeup Compact

I posted a pick of a small makeup compact that my friend @hammyharris ( follow her on instagram and twitter) gave me. I was so excited about it because It will live in my purse so I will always have  my essentials( Eye shadow, blush and lip gloss). I posted a pick of the compact on instagram( follow me @londonkimble) and  Ms. Alphaglam asked me where she could find one for herself… this promoted me to 1st share the compact with you guys and secondly offer Ms.Alphaglam some buying options. Along with this compact I keep and eye shadow primer, mascara and facial primer with me. Those are the key ingredients for a quick face on the go.

1. Bundle Master Pro 15.99

2.Sephora ‘Shopping Bag’ Palette $10- $24  (avail around Xmas)

  3. Swag Bag Makeup Compact $10 (Here another link)

* #3 is the one I was given. The eyes shadows work much better with an eye shadow primer.

Makeup Bag: Highlight and Contouring Like Kim Kardashian

If your familiar with The Style Rundown or follow me on Instagram(@londonkimble) you know I love all things makeup. By no means am I am I a  lady who wears makeup everyday, I just have too much to do in one day. Although my days maybe filled to the brim I’m still a makeup lover and studier.  Regardless of how you make feel about her, Kim Kardashian’s makeup is ALWAYS on point. Recently, on her blog she gave us a glimpse of how she achiever her high cheekbones and exotic look with the use of make up.

Contouring is a makeup technique that utilizes concealer or non shimmer bronzer to help change the shape of your face. It can elongate your profile, raise your cheekbones, soften, make your nose smaller, etc. When done correctly, contouring accentuates the positive attributes of your facial features and gives you a ready for the camera look. Contouring combined with highlighting allows for you to change the shape and highlight the features you want to highlight.

The pro contouring  and highlight was done by makeup impresario Scott Barnes, and he takes us through the contouring process with Kim, displaying how she goes from reg to fab!

MakeUp Bag- Cat Eyes

One beauty trend that has continue to live on past it 9 lives are Cat Eyes! Cat Eyes are great to add a little flare of an day eye shadow look and just a great to vamp up the drama for a night time lid . Here are some tips on how to do this fun beauty technique!

· Stay close to the lashes- Start with a thin liner near inner corner of your eye then make it thicker as you extend it a little past your eyes outer edge. Liquid eye liner is great for Cat Eye.

· WANT MORE DRAMA?!- Flick the line out and up. As your lining your top lid, do a quick upward stroke toward the end of the brow. To add the finishing touch line your bottom lids too but use a soft black pencil.

This simple beauty trick can add variety and pizzaz to a eye look. Its just that simple
